Hi, I’m Adriana! I’m a wife, writer, autistic woman, and encourager.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I share life, faith, and everything in between.
My Story So Far
I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Oakland. But these days, I live in sunny San Jose.
Professionally, I help empower families to navigate systems of support. Personally, I’m a faith-driven storyteller who travels locally, cries during Pixar movies, and misses seeing the Pacific ocean everyday.
But here’s the part that shaped me most: My childhood was filled with trauma. Things no child should see, feel, or carry. As a result, I became angry, anxious, and severely depressed. I was lonely and had a bleak outlook on life.
God felt far away. As a matter of fact, I hated God for allowing such terrible things to happen to me and my family.
But I would soon learn that He never left. He was there all along, holding us together, especially me.
Healing, Hope, and the Messy Middle
In 2020, everything changed for the better. I gave my life to Jesus Christ after questioning (and considering) whether life was even worth living anymore.
Since then, I’ve begun healing from my trauma. I’ve found healthy community. I’ve married my best friend. I’ve received an autism diagnosis that brought clarity to years of confusion (more on that soon).
My life is still messy, complicated, and unfolding. Two miscarriages remind me of that.
But through it all, I’ve found something stronger than my pain: peace, joy, and hope. Not because life got easier. But because I stopped doing it alone.
What could’ve ended in tragedy, God is turning into a beautiful masterpiece. And I’m so glad I gave Him the pen back.
I’m not here to convert you. I’m here to offer you the same hope that changed my life. Real hope.
My faith is my anchor. Jesus Christ is the reason I am who I am today. I’m not perfect, but I’m a much better and happier person than I was before knowing Him. And for that I’m grateful.
